The basketball ears were released exclusively at the NBA Experience in Disney Springs in early December 2019 before being eventually available for purchase on ShopDisney. The ears are made of a basketball material and feature a mesh jersey bow in the center. The ears were also made to match with the NBA Experience Loungefly basketball bag.
The ears were originally listed at $27.99. This price was unique as other Disney Parks ears had been marked up to $29.99 before this release.
