Beginning June 10, Animal Kingdom will be hosting a celebration of the 30th anniversary of “The Lion King.”
The celebration will feature a new merchandise line including ears, various shirts, bags, and plushies.
The ears feature a simulated leather with “Hakuna Matata” on one ear and Timon. Pumbaa, and Simba on the other. At the center of the ears is a yellow bead bow.
In addition to the new merchandise line, the Pumbaa popcorn bucket that initially released last year will also return. There will also be several new limited-time special food and drink offerings.
Out at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, Timon and Rafiki will greet guests again (times will be available in the My Disney Experience app). Guests can also learn to draw “The Lion King” characters at the Animation Experience (also at Rafiki’s Planet Watch).
The celebration runs June 10 through September 6.
There is no release date for the merchandise collection or where it will be released.
