Whether you are one to minimally prepare for a day in the parks or to pack like you are preparing for a week long safari, the Rope Drop Backpack by Designer Park Company has all of the features you need to be prepared and comfortable for your time in the parks. Not only do these backpacks have a ton of unique features, they are also comfortable (even when fully packed)!

The first thing to notice when looking at the Rope Drop Backpack is the strap with buckle on the front that is perfect for displaying your ears! If you are like me and always struggle with what ears to select for park days, this backpack allows you to take a second pair of ears to display on the bag (or even a couple more if you want to put them in the bag… or in case you buy more – you know I checked). The strap is also great for buckling your ears in when riding rides like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind that don’t have pockets large enough to hold your ears or even when you want to give your head a bit of a break from ear-wearing.

The second thing to notice about the backpack is the pin display pocket. This pocket is multifunctional as you can use it to display your pins, extra storage, or you can opt to leave it slightly open and tuck the headband of your ears in. Since I chose to carry extra ears, I ended up zipping the bag up to the headband leaving it open in the center. This still kept all of my belongings secure – including that extra pair of ears! As for the pins, the bag comes with 10 locking pin backs to keep your pins secure and from falling off. Being able to display my pins on my bag was a new feature for me and it is also lots of fun because you can theme your bag to your look or even your ears! Now I also have pins available to trade when I am in the parks (instead of wishing I had remembered to bring them).

The backpack itself has lots of interior storage space and even more hidden features. Having two large zippered pockets gives lots of extra space. This is a feature I am always wishing more Loungefly mini backpacks had! Inside the first zippered pocket you will find two pockets (phone pockets). Inside the second zippered pocket you find two more pockets, but these are elasticized to be able to fit standard sized water bottles – or whatever you desire to fit in! This is another feature that I have always wished for in Loungefly mini backpacks as things start to get lost when just fitting them in. The elastic pockets are also positioned perfectly with the hole at the top back of the backpack (more on that in a moment) that you can run a cord to connect your battery pack to charge your phone (that is when you are not using it for the Schweitzer Hydration Kit)!

Inside the backpack, you also have the ability to connect your water bottle to the Schweitzer Hydration Kit. This kit comes with a convertible top to add to your standard water bottle and the water tubing. Once you add this to your bottle, you can then run the tubing through the hole on the top back of the backpack. The tubing then runs along the strap via a magnetic clip to connect the bite valve to. Through this system, you have easy access to your water without having to take your bag off your back to pull out your water bottle!

On the outside of the backpack you will find two side pockets. These are perfect for smaller accessories or even that umbrella for those daily afternoon summer rain showers! On my most recent trip, I found that this was the perfect way to keep an umbrella handy, but out of the way in order to not be a burden and not get lost.
The bottom/back of the backpack has one more amazing hidden feature, the hidden storage net for extra storage space! Once you open the zipper along the bottom back of the bag, there is a net that clips to the rings at the bottom of the bag. This gives an extra pocket of storage. On my first trip using this backpack, I was able to fit my EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival souvenir clothing (a Spirit Jersey, t-shirt, and tank top) with a little extra room to spare. On my second trip, I was able to carry a rain jacket and a heavy sweatshirt. Even though I was adding a lot of extra things to my backpack, I found that it was still incredibly comfortable and it did not feel like I was carrying any extra weight or belongings (which was so incredible and convenient).

Lastly, the Rope Drop Backpack comes in a variety of different color options. I selected “The Plaid” since I’m a sucker for anything plaid and it makes for the perfect match for any Disney outfit or Disney Bound.

If you are looking for something similar, but a little larger, you can find the Master Gracey Backpack. Through the Designer Park Company website, you are also able to purchase additional pin backs, Schweitzer Hydration Kits, and other accessories.
The Rope Drop Backpack has lots of extra features that I am always wishing for in my Loungeflys and it has extra space without feeling that much larger. It is extra comfortable and everything is convenient to access. The ability to have extra ears makes this the perfect pairing for any outfit and your favorite pair of ears!
